I read a book called The Coldest Winter Ever by sista souljah (I think that is the title) It is an excellent book.So are any of the slave narratives collected by the government during the last depression.Gotta go!!!!
Has anyone read Any book that I absolutely have to read???? Favorites????

Yvette said… - Hey von! Girl, I'm wondering why the lady (whom I understand to be quit young) is having so many babies without a father. I mean, I know some women are capable of raising great children without the father, but come on! To me, it seems she really needs to be honest with herself about why she feels the need to have so many. It's obvious she needs help (not just financial), if she living with her parents. And why put the burden on them to help. They probably don't mind, but 14 children????
As for the man who committed suicide after killing his family....my heart goes out to those babies. I saw photos of them...they were so cute. It saddens me that he and his wife (allegedly) felt they had no other options.

Jamila said… - Hopefully Barack is feeling better. I have to tell you, I did miss Mari on Friday. There is another little girl, Kylee. She has been with me for just about 3 years now. I always know that I can count on the two of them to "get the job done". They will be apart of the special selection of girls that perform during the circus act with me. Hopefully all are doing well.

- I doubt if I am the best to answer since I can only get Coleman to do stuff when he wants something. And yet, he turned out okay. I suppose she can get privileges if she does what she is supposed to or lose privileges if she doesn't. The other thing to think about is if the things that she is supposed to do are age and temperament appropriate. What works with Tim? Love, Sherrie

- Hey, well you know it is going to take some time for Barack to come around. He is around you all the time, so you are all he knows. As far as the music, I have been looking on line, and I tried to look at some of the old Circus music. I did have a conversation with the Director today, and she said agreed on a song that I had suggested earlier, I just need to find some type of upbeat version of it. An afternoon at the park would be nice. Let me know what is around you. I do have one down the street from my house, but if you have something close to you, that would be fine. Jamila~

- Hopefully you will receive this message. I am not very good at sending messages. It was go good to see you. I was hoping that I would have some time to get together this past weekend, but I had so much going on. As you saw, I was called in to work, I did a private home lesson for Shobha's girls, and I spent the rest of my evening putting together a report for my meeting yesterday, and I spent more than two hours trying to find music for my Beg. Circus class, which I never found. So far, I do not have anything on my schedule for this weekend. I was suppose to do some volunteer work, but the event was cancelled. Let me know. If I make plans with you, I promise I will not cancel. Love ya. Jamila
