For the year 2009 - 20010, for everyone that leaves a full message on our Guestbook at the end of our website with your First and Last Name telling us how you personally feel about Child Abuse, we will showcase you on the Honorable Mentions Page on our website, add you as a Friend here on this Network, and place a link to your business – regardless of what it is, on our website, which gets over 200 hits a day.

Here’s the link:

We are doing this because in leaving your message on our Guestbook, you are showing us that you are working as hard as we are to save the lives of our African American Children - and therefore you deserve this much. Keep in mind that we are interested in reading your own "Personal" feelings about this Epidemic. We look forward to reading your words on our Guestbook. (Be sure to turn up your Speakers – there is R&B Music on every page!)

I, and the Children who manage to survive this Epidemic,
will never be able to thank you enough.

Yes, we have them tested through a private agency that is not affilitated with the public school system. My eldest has tested above grade average for the past 3 years. There are so many different methods when it comes to homeschooling. Check out this book "Morning by Morning: How We Home-Schooled Our African-American Sons to the Ivy League
by Paula Penn-Nabrit" This is an excellent book and she also has a website. They have it used at amazon.com for about $3 plus $3.99 sh and Homeschooling: The Teen Years: Your Complete Guide to Successfully Homeschooling the 13- to 18- Year-Old (Prima Home Learning Library) (Paperback) Here is a ning with many african american homeschooler with teeanage children who may be able to give you resources for the middle high school years.

Thank you:) Yes we do plan on homeschooling through high school. We have created out own curriculum. My homeschooling is structured, yet ecclectic. I create a lot of unit studies and cross curricular activities so that all of my children can participate at their own level. My 8 year old is currently working on a 3rd/4th grade level. My 5 year old son is currently learning how to read and my 4 year old daughter is working on kindergarden math. We homeschool all year round and have what I call moments of reflection throughout the year. During this time we are more relaxed and allow the children to work on things that interest them and we reflect on the lessons that were taught. This reflective moments usually last for about 2-3 weeks. Since we just had our 5th child in March we just got back into a more structured routine . It is a blesssing because we set the standard and are not constrained or confined. We are now expanding our family garden and adding medicinal herbs and we are also making our own tomato tree (like the 1 advertised on tv) this has become a great science project because for the little ones they are learning about plant growth, seeds, etc and my oldest is taking soil samples checking the Ph balance. Watching them grow and learn is an awesome experience.

Hello Ladies, I am just starting my first book. Finding time to write is the biggest issue for me but I am in no rush to finish. I hope to learn more from all of you on writing and getting your book out there.
