Peace Fellow Mommies! With the New Year less than 48 hours away, I wondered if anyone was thinking of Resolutions and better still, a idea on how to keep them past January 31st. Welcome your responses...
Resolutions are always tough; this year, I resolved to do something fashion related (as it pertains to writing and fashion), and learn as much as I can to be the best mommy and future wife that I can be for my unborn baby and significant other. Oh, and of course to lose weight!
Although I might need to take my own advice on this one, I think that the easiest way to achieve your resolutions once you've made them is to break the resolution down into short term goals, so that they will be more achievable over a longer period of time. For example, I plan to study a topic a week as it relates to parenting, relationships, and pregnancy (this week its breastfeeding), to research low impact cardio for pregnant mothers (to work on my goal of losing weight), and to write at least 3 posts a week on my blog (http://mynmommy.blogspot.com), to create enough copy to show to magazines of interest.
I'm interested to hear less than cliche resolutions...anyone else care to share?
Well, I gave up making resolutions years ago. Now I focus on my intentions. At the beginning of each year I take an inventory of the past year and look at what I didn't accomplish and if I need to throw it out or add to the intentions for the new year. It made it less of a burden. Congratulaton Lyn on your pregnancy and soon to be marriage. I use to leave up at Fort Meade and Odenton, Md. Would also visit Baltimore often too.
